Welcome

Welcome to University Presbyterian Church. We are glad you are here and invite you to join us as we grow together in faith, hope, and love. Whether this is your first visit or you are returning, you are a valued part of our community.

Our parish was founded in 1921 as a small congregation in the University Park neighborhood. Our building began its development in 1927 and was finished in 1956. A part of Buffalo’s vibrant architecture, it adheres to many attributes of Revival Style Architecture with strong influences of Georgia’s southern colonies.

Located at the crossroads between Amherst and North Buffalo, we are a locally-minded congregation meeting the needs of our community and the spiritual growth of our parish. At University Presbyterian Church, we deeply value the diversity of our community and are committed to understanding and addressing the unique needs of every individual within our congregation and surrounding area.

Conveniently located across the street from the University Station of the Metro Rail, we are also accessible by several bus lines that meet at the station.

The church building is handicap accessible, with an elevator that reaches all levels.
